Introduction
This Cancellation Policy explains how hosting plans, domain services, and related subscriptions with Techlodges may be cancelled, and what happens to billing, renewals, and data after a cancellation request. It works together with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
How to Cancel
A cancellation may be requested through the account dashboard, by contacting support, or by emailing info@techlodges.com from the email address on file. To help verify ownership, requests should include the account name, service, and domain or order reference.
Notice Period
To avoid a renewal charge, a cancellation request should be submitted before the next billing or renewal date. Requests received on or after a renewal date may take effect at the end of the current billing term.
Hosting Services
- Monthly plans remain active until the end of the paid billing month and are not renewed after cancellation.
- Annual and multi-year plans remain active until the end of the paid term unless an eligible refund applies under the Terms and Conditions.
- Cancellation stops future automatic renewals for the affected service.
Domain Registrations
Domain registration and renewal are handled through registrars and are generally non-cancellable and non-refundable once processed. Cancelling a hosting plan does not cancel or delete an associated domain. Domain auto-renewal can be disabled separately so the domain is allowed to expire at the end of its term.
Setup Fees, Add-ons, and Third-Party Charges
Setup fees, custom work, migrations, SSL certificates, licenses, and other third-party charges already provided or purchased may be non-refundable, even where the underlying service is cancelled.
Effect of Cancellation
- Access to the cancelled service ends at the effective cancellation date.
- Automatic renewals and future invoices for the service stop.
- Outstanding or overdue balances remain payable.
Data Retention and Deletion
After a service is cancelled, associated files, databases, emails, and backups may be scheduled for permanent deletion. Users are responsible for downloading or migrating any data they wish to keep before the effective cancellation date. Deleted data may not be recoverable.
Cancellation by Techlodges
Services may be suspended or cancelled where these terms are violated, payments are overdue, security is at risk, or continued service would create legal or operational harm, as described in the Terms and Conditions.
Refunds
Any refund associated with a cancellation is governed by the refund terms in the Terms and Conditions and the applicable order terms.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be updated periodically. Material changes should be posted on this page together with an updated effective date.
